Effects of 2,4-Dimethoxyphenyl Biguanide on Glutathione System Activity in Rat Tissues in Brain Ischemia–Reperfusion

Abstract: We studied the effects of dimethoxyphenyl biguanide on glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities, level of reduced glutathione in rat tissues, and activity of some NADPH-regenerating enzymes (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase) under conditions of ischemia-reperfusion of the brain.
