Abstract:Background: The seed coat of Borassus flabellifer L. fruit contains antioxidants that can neutralize the toxic effects of free radicals and can fight DNA damage due to exposure to oxidative stress. The extract of B. flabellifer is proven to have cytotoxic effects and can inhibit the growth of several types of cancer cells such as HeLa cell lines.
