Effects of Calcination Factors on the Composite Cathode Powder LSCF-SDC Carbonate by Using Dry Milling

Abstract: The effects of calcination factors on the La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ-SDCC (LSCF-SDCC) composite cathodes powder were investigated. LSCF-SDCC has been prepared using high energy ball milling technique via dry milling method. The resultant LSCF-SDCC composite cathodes powder then were calcined at 700, 750 and 800 °C with soaking time of 1, 2 and 3 hours. The findings reveal that different calcinations temperature and soaking time gives effects to the composite cathodes powder. Clear peak intensity demonstrate from… Show more

“…The effect of BM on the microstructural properties of metals (such as Ni, Co), alloys and metal oxides (such as Fe 2 O 3 -SnO 2 , ZrO 2 -Fe 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , SrTiO 3 , and doped ceria) has been explained by many researchers [2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. According to Bolokang et al, the lattice expansion is possible with milling duration [6].…”

“…However, for lithium (Li) was not detected from EDS due to its low atomic mass. The implementation of HEBM with high speed method able to disperse the elements homogeneously [13]. From EDS spectrum shows the intensity of the elements which has been contained in the SSC-SDCC composite cathode powder.…”

“…Furthermore, the information regarding preparation of SSC-SDCC by using this technique is still rare. Homogenous and fine powders might be obtained from this new SSC-SDCC composite cathode which prepared using this outstanding HEBM technique [12,13]. In the present study, morphological studies of new composite cathode powder microstructure will be investigated.…”
