Effects of compression garment on muscular efficacy, proprioception, and recovery after exercise-induced muscle fatigue onset for people who exercise regularly

Abstract: Fatigue is a major cause of exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD). Compression garments (CGs) can aid post-exercise recovery, therefore, this study explored the effects of CGs on muscular efficacy, proprioception, and recovery after exercise-induced muscle fatigue in people who exercise regularly. Twelve healthy participants who exercised regularly were enrolled in this study. Each participant completed an exercise-induced muscle fatigue test while wearing a randomly assigned lower-body CG or sports pants (SP)… Show more

“…Additionally, muscle compensation often indicates exercise fatigue [54]. It is necessary for exercisers to have a rest or stop exercising when they are tired to prevent their bodies from being injured by sports [55]. In this study, a support abdominal jump exercise test was conducted on two testers.…”

“…For remaining power and strength, and sport-related performances, moderator variable analyses failed to report any significant effects depending on different compression garment types (Supplementary Table S5). Red diamond demonstrates overall effect size [9,11,18,21,30,33,36,38,45,[51][52][53]56,62].…”
