“…All CDSS are required to provide reassurance to clinicians that the advice and guidance they provide is based on evidence, and that they are not a risk to the safety or quality of care. We know from existing evidence that how such tools are implemented and used in practice may evolve and change, depending on the context where the CDSS is introduced and the characteristics or the expertise of the person using the CDSS (Dowding et al, 2009; Mebrahtu et al, 2021). So, whilst characteristics such as reliability and validity are core for the decision of introducing the CDSS, ensuring that the impacts of the CDSS over time, and constant evaluation of its performance are also required.…”
