Abstract: Purpose This paper aims to investigate the effects of Cr and Ta additions on the friction performance and corrosion-wear mechanism of Fe90-Al2O3 coating in 3.5% NaCl solution. Design/methodology/approach Cr and Ta reinforced Fe90-Al2O3 coatings were prepared on Q235 steel by laser cladding.
