Abstract: The innkeeper worm Urechis unicinctus is a benthic organism that inhabits the intertidal zone, mainly along the coasts of Japan, Korea, Russia and the Bohai and Yellow seas of China (Zhen et al., 2006).This species has been used as a model organism for studying sulphur cycling because it can resist the toxicity of hydrogen sulphide (Zhang et al., 2013).
