Effects of dehydroabietic acid on nontarget lipidomics and proteomics of HepG2

Abstract: Objective: Studies of the effects of dehydroabietic acid on the multiomics of HepG2 hepatoma carcinoma cells are currently lacking. In this study, the molecular mechanism of the influence of dehydroabietic acid on HepG2 cells was disclosed by studying lipidomics and proteomics. Correlations among multiomics conjoint analysis results were verified. Methods: First, proteomics analysis of HepG2 cells was carried out using dehydroabietic acid. Differentially expressed proteins were screened and analyzed. Pathway en… Show more

“…Furthermore, phosphatidylinositol 4-diphosphate (PIP) plays a role in intracellular signal transduction, while phosphatidylglycerol (PG) is involved in the regulation of liver function, liver regeneration, and liver metabolism. SQDG is a glycerol glycolipid known for its antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-atherosclerotic properties . KGM supplementation increased the relative abundance of PIP (50:3), PIP (50:4), PG (16:0/22:6), PG (16:0/22:6), PG (16:0/20:4), LPG (16:0), SQDG (44:2), SQDG (41:2) and SQDG (37:2) in mice fed a high-fat diet.…”

“…SQDG is a glycerol glycolipid known for its antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-atherosclerotic properties. 25 KGM supplementation increased the relative abundance of PIP (50:3), PIP (50:4), PG (16:0/22:6), PG (16:0/22:6), PG (16:0/20:4), LPG (16:0), SQDG (44:2), SQDG (41:2) and SQDG (37:2) in mice fed a high-fat diet. Although KGM decreased the contents of PG (43:6) and SQDG (41:4) in mice on a normal diet, it did not significantly affect their total contents (Figure 6).…”

“…Bioinformatics analysis is widely used to explore the complex mechanisms and effective targets of drug treatment. According to the analysis of relevant data, dehydroabietic acid [ 239 ], curcumin [ 240 ], and Astragalus membranaceus [ 241 ] could exert their potential effect in treating HCC by regulating ferroptosis-related genes or pathways. It is expected that more effective targets will be identified with the development of various omics techniques and analytical methods.…”
