“…1D; t 8  = 2.508; P  = 0.0365). In accordance with previous study7071, There was no significant difference for the body weight between the sham and BDL rats within 1 to 15 days after BDL surgery (Fig. 1E; F (1,52)  = 0.1752; P  = 0.6772).…”

“…In accordance with the study by Nelson et al, 12 we measured the nociceptive thresholds at days 4, 6, and 8 after BDL surgery in this study, and several studies had proved that there was no significant difference between BDL models and controls on locomotor activity, rearing and grooming behaviors, defecations, and body weight within 10 to 13 days after BDL surgery. [27][28][29] Hence, it can be conclude that the change in nociceptive thresholds in BDL model within 8 days in our study is due to a specific change in pain transmission rather than a sign of lethargy or malaise.…”

“…The data obtained in the present experiment agreed with those observed in rats exposed to the EPM. It has been shown that APO increases the time spent in the open arms of the maze via the dopamine D2 receptors (23,31). This also agrees with the claim that open-arm exploration in the EPM can be used as an index of impulsive behavior (32).…”
