Effects of Informal Settlement Upgrading in Kabul City, Afghanistan: A Case Study of Afshar Area

Abstract: Rapid migration and vast urban expansion have contributed to large informal settlements in Kabul city. Post-war refugees, the return of internally displaced residents to the city, and rural migration are some causal factors. About 69 percent of the city's population live in informal settlements.
