Effects of Intra-Interspesific Competitions on Yield and Yield Component of Maize under Different Intercropping Patterns

Abstract: WO EXPERIMENTS were conducted during the growing summer seasons [2008][2009] at Shandaweel Agric. Res. St., (Upper Egypt) to study the effect of intercropping maize with sorghum, soybean and cowpea on yield and yield components. There were three intercropping crops: A 1 (maize + sorghum), A 2 (maize+ soybean) and A 3 (maize + cowpea) in three intercropping patterns P 1 , P 2 and P 3 (2:2, 2:4 and 4:4), respectively.
