Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) develops as a result of unhealthy lifestyle but improves with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). The transforming growth factor (TGF)-β signaling pathway reportedly contributes to liver fibrosis, mainly in animal experiments.
