Effects of Ni precursors on the formation of Mg–Fe–Ni intermetallic hydrides, kinetics, and reversibility

Abstract: Different Ni precursors (metallic Ni or Mg2NiH4) used for synthesizing Mg–Fe–Ni based hydrides affect micro-scaled distribution and contacts of the reactive phases upon cycling, altering H2 ab/desorption mechanism and reversible capacities.
