Parkinson's disease is characterized as a chronic, degenerative and progressive neurological disease that affects the motor system. Parkinson's disease has no cure yet. The treatment can be done in a medicated way, through the use of drugs, surgeries and adjuvant medications that consist of physical exercise associated with physiotherapy. The regular practice of physical exercise has been fundamental to alleviate or delay the onset of symptoms and independence for parkinsonians. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the benefits provided by physical exercise to dependents with Parkinson's disease. It is an integrative literature review, with searches carried out in the SciELO, Lilacs and Medline databases. The descriptors used were Parkinson's disease, physical exercise and quality of life, articles published in the period 2000 to 2020 and complete works were used as inclusion criteria. The main benefits promoted by physical exercise reported were improved gait, balance, flexibility and functional mobility.
