“…The results of this study are similar to many previous studies, as a study done by Awad et al 9 found that the total mean score of knowledge of caregivers about PU improved and was statistically significantly higher than before the intervention. This is in accordance with a study done in Thailand by Chiaprasert et al, 17 who applied a training program for caregivers of the elderly, which found the PU prevention training program should be applied to caregivers to enable them to take better care of the elderly, resulting in preventing PU risk. Therefore, the PU prevention training program should be useful for other caregivers of the elderly with bedsores.…”
