Effects of ramp vibrational states on flexural intrinsic vibrations in Besocke-style scanners

Abstract: For both the vibrating and steady supporting surfaces of a scanning disk in a Besocke-style piezoelectric scanner, a theoretical model is given by considering the nonlinear lateral friction at the micro-contact interface between the positioning legs and the supporting surface. Numerical simulations demonstrate that unexpected flexural vibrations can arise from a vibrating ramp, and their frequencies are lower than the eigenfrequencies of the scanner in the linearly elastic regime. The vibrations essentially de… Show more

“…ecently, the sound regulations through artificially sub-wavelength structures have attracted much attention. [1][2][3][4][5][6] It can flexibly and effectively regulate sound waves to achieve a variety of novel acoustic phenomena and functions, such as extraordinary acoustic transmission. [7][8][9][10] In early works, the sound transmission was found in onedimensional acoustic gratings with sub-wavelength slits and two-dimensional plates periodically perforated with holes, 11) in which Fabry-Pérot (F-P) resonance could be tuned by diffraction evanescent waves in slits.…”
