Effects of season, productive state, age, and agro-ecology on blood biochemical characteristics and nutritional condition of dromedary camels (Camelus dromedarius) in natural browsing environment

Abstract: This study was undertaken to investigate blood biochemical properties and nutritional status of dromedary camels (Camelus dromedarius) in their natural environment. About 36 camels were divided into three groups from two herds in arid and semi-arid areas based on their age (> 8 years, 5–8 years, or less than 5 years) and their productive state (milking, pregnant, or young).
