“…However, supplementation of B. tequilensis as water additive was also effective when used at a higher potency (WA3 group, 10 11 cfu/ ml culture water) and produced positive effects comparable to the feed supplement group D2. Although weight gain recorded for rohu in the present report seemed to be lower in comparison to the other species (e.g., Nile tilapia, Zhou et al, 2010), it was comparable with erstwhile studies conducted with rohu under captive condition (Bhujel et al, 2020;Mohapatra et al, 2014;Mukherjee et 2019;Saravanan et al, 2021). Majority of the preceding studies considered a potency that ranged between 10 6 and 10 10 cfu/g for dietary application of Bacillus probiotics (singly or in combination) and recorded significant growth improvements in Nile tilapia, O. niloticus (Aly et al, 2008;Liu et al, 2017); common carp, Cyprinus carpio (Ye et al, 2011); rohu, Labeo rohita (Giri et al, 2014;Kumar et al, 2006;Mukherjee et al, 2019); and grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idella (Tang et al, 2019;Wu et al, 2012;Xue et al, 2020).…”
