“…The tibia implantation model is a classical experimental model used in many studies to evaluate bone tissue (osseointegration), bone marrow tissue (myelointegration), fibrous tissue, and/or inflammatory reactions at the implant–tissue interface. This model is used not only in the field of dentistry but also in orthopaedic and rehabilitation sciences (Bai et al, 2018; Guglielmotti et al, 2019; Schliephake et al, 2015; Trindade et al, 2018; Xu et al, 2021a; Xu et al, 2021b). A rodent tibia has similarities with human bone biology and is a good location for assessing the effect of systemic drugs on bone (Al‐Subaie et al, 2016; Baron et al, 1984).…”

“…At the same time, Sr 2+ can inhibit macrophage differentiation to osteoclasts by down-regulating TRAP, MMP-9 and CKT expression ( Wu T. et al, 2021 ). Xu et al (2021) fabricated Sr 2+ incorporated micro\nano rough titanium surface (Sr-SLA) and immunoreaction of macrophages was further investigated. The Vivo experience showed that compared to SLA implants, less classically activated M1 macrophages infiltration and more alternatively activated M2 macrophages infiltration were observed at the implantation site of Sr-SLA implants, accompanied with a more bone formation.…”

“…With the success of bionics in various fields. In addition to conventional methods such as sandblasting and acid etching to roughen the implant surface ( Mahajan and Sidhu, 2018 ; He et al, 2019 ; Xu A.-t. et al, 2021 ), an increasing number of researchers have simulated and constructed structures similar to natural bone on the implant surface from the perspective of bionics ( Saita et al, 2016 ).…”
