Abstract:The objective of this placebo-controlled clinical study is to determine the effect of sulodexide for the prevention of peritoneal membrane change in PD patients by evaluating dialysate biomarkers of peritoneal membrane change, phenotypes of peritoneal mesothelial cells, peritoneal membrane transports and safety. A total of 66 patients were included in this randomized control trial study. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either 50 mg of sulodexide or placebo by oral 2 times daily.
