“…The viscosities of compounds depend on carbon chain length and the degree of branching. Straight chain hydrocarbons are more viscous than branched chain hydrocarbons [ [50] , [51] , [52] , [53] ] and low molecular weight compounds have lower viscosity than the higher molecular weight compounds. Thus, we can surmise that the decrease in viscosity of the CTPO with TOS was probably due to cracking of higher molecular weight compounds to lower molecular weight compounds promoted by new compounds formed on the catalyst surface with increased TOS.…”
