Effects of the bounded geometry on the ion-acoustic waves

Abstract: We translate three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations describing the bounded plasma into a one-dimensional case and obtain an equivalent damping force that resulted from both the bounded geometry and the viscosity of the plasma by averaging all the physical quantities on the cross section, which is perpendicular to the wave propagation direction.
