Abstract:Transionospheric satellite signals are exposed to perturbation, caused by irregularities generated in the ionosphere. However, the characteristics of the satellite motion can have an additional impact on signal perturbation, in addition to the effects of irregularity structures, that drift from west to east during geomagnetic quiet conditions. This paper reports the effect of GPS satellite geometry, on tracking loop performance of ground‐based receivers, during occurrence of ionospheric scintillations. Observa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
