Effects of Thermal Shock on Some Freshwater Fishes

Abstract: In order to understand the stress encountered by freshwater fish as a result of thermal discharges into waters, we undertake thermal shock experiments study. The TL 50 values of four freshwater fishes increased with increasing acclimation temperature. The UILT values for silver carp, bighead carp, grass carp and common carp were 37.1ć, 35.6ć, 37.7ć, 37.3ć, respectively.
