Effects of traditional Chinese herbal medicine San-Huang-Xie-Xin-Tang on gastrointestinal motility in mice

Abstract: These results suggest that SHXXT is a novel candidate for the development of a prokinetic agent that may prevent or alleviate GMD.

“…Hwang-Geum, the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis (Lamiaceae), and Hwang-Ryeon, the rhizomes of Coptis chinensis (Ranunculaceae), have been traditionally used to treat pathological heatmediated symptoms, such as fever, anxiety, insomnia, frequent hunger, mouth dryness and thirst, bleeding, skin spots and folliculitis.
