Abstract: Background: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition encountered in older men and a common cause of lower urinary tract symptoms. TURP is a procedure in which the prostate is resected from an endoscopic approach which is the gold standard for bladder outlet obstruction.
