“…En relación con la formalina, compuesto tóxico que en los Estados Unidos ha sido utilizada como un agente fungicida muy eficaz en el cultivo de peces y su uso se ha incrementado haciendo más hincapié sobre la seguridad y el impacto de esta sustancia química en el ambiente (Schreier et al 1996). Existen trabajos con especies dulceacuícolas como el bagre y la trucha (Schreier et al 1996, Rasowo et al 2007, donde se suministraron altas concentraciones de formalina (1000 ppm y hasta 1500 μl L -1 respectivamente) para desinfectar los huevos, obteniendo en el caso del bagre 82% de eclosión y en la trucha porcentajes de alrededor de 90%. Sin embargo, el bagre y trucha son de aguas frías, mientras que el pargo y botete son de aguas cálidas, por lo tanto la diferencia en relación a los resultados de desinfección de huevos mediante la formalina, puede deberse a la influencia de alguna variable ambiental, como por ejemplo la temperatura.…”
