Efficacy of Inhaled Steroids in Undiagnosed Subjects at High Risk for COPD

Abstract: There are no indications that early treatment with inhaled corticosteroids modifies a rapid decline in lung function or respiratory symptoms and quality of life.

“…The goal of pharmacologic therapy in COPD management is to slow the rate of decline in lung function, ultimately reducing COPD-related mortality.
