“…In our study, the average daily growth of piglets was greatly increased in the selenomethionine-treated group. However, many literatures reported that maternal Se-enriched yeast intake showed little effect to improve the growth performance of its offspring when compared with inorganic Se resource [9,10,21,22]. We concluded that selenomethionine exhibited higher efficiency on absorption and utilization efficiency than Se-enriched yeast and sodium selenite, and could provide one of the effective additives for sows to improve the growth performance of piglets before weaning.…”
