Abstract:<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Chronic wounds affect approximately 1-2% of the population in Europe and the United States. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) has emerged as an effective, inexpensive, minimally invasive treatment modality for chronic leg ulcers.
