“…Nevertheless, the attempt to minimize conduction loss entails a compromise of increased reversion loss, which negatively impacts the charge pump's overall performance. Over the past few decades, a wide range of techniques for improving CP performance has been documented in the literature [2], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], aimed at addressing the aforementioned challenges. Despite significant research focused on optimizing CP topologies, there remains potential for further innovation in architectural improvements.…”

“…To pair the NFC sensor with the developed VEH, further optimizations have been performed on the hardware and the firmware of the previously reported NFC sensor. To allow for an extraction of sufficient electrical energy even from a low amplitude vibration, a double-stage voltage multiplier circuit [66], [67] comprising of two capacitors (10 μF each) and two diodes (Small-signal Schottky Diode, part number BAT85-T/R) has been employed for the rectification of the incoming AC signal from the VEH. Following the rectification stage, a 560 μF (20 V) conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitor (SEPF series) has been added to store the energy and to supply it to the NFC sensor hardware circuitry when required.…”

“…Yuan et al [70] studied the threshold voltage compensation scheme to improve the effects of voltage multiplier temperature and process variability. Chouhan et al [71] designed a new cascading method for voltage multiplication circuits, which allows the rectifier to have better power conversion efficiency at lower RF power.…”
