Efficiency of Isolates of the Fungus, Paecilomyces lilacinus to Control Disease Root- Knot Nematode,Meloidogyne javanica on Eggplant

Abstract: The efficiency of five isolates of Paecilomyces lilacinus (Thom) Samson were evaluated as biocontrol agents against the root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne javanica (Treub) Chitwood on eggplant under greenhouse conditions. Results showed that all the isolates tested were capable of reducing gall number and the galling index on the root system, especially isolates2 (21.4, 1.3) respectively.
