Abstract: Photosynthetic microbial fuel cells (pMFCs) are hybrid systems that enable simultaneous wastewater treatment under anaerobic conditions and the generation of electricity by utilizing the potential difference in the anaerobic anode chamber and the oxygenated cathode chamber.
