Abstract:Gradient clock synchronization is a particular synchronization scheme in distributed systems that requires neighboring nodes to be more tightly synchronized than far away nodes. Up until now, two gradient clock synchronization algorithms have been proposed in the literature which are optimal in terms of worst-case synchronization error among neighboring nodes. In this article, we focus on these algorithms and reveal their drawbacks: The first algorithm requires continuous decision making, which makes it unsuit… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
