Abstract: Nitrile-containing insecticides can be converted into their amide derivatives by Pseudaminobacter salicylatoxidans. N-(4-trifluoromethylnicotinoyl) glycinamide (TFNG-AM) is converted to 4-(trifluoromethyl) nicotinoyl glycine (TFNG) using nitrile hydratase/amidase.
