Abstract:Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are promising optical gain media distinguished by their narrow emission spectra and adaptable wavelengths. However, their isotropic nature often results in randomly oriented transition dipoles within laser cavities, thereby reducing their coupling with the optical modes. Here, we propose nanoplatelets (NPLs) as an alternative. By aligning them on a large scale, we ensure well-oriented transition dipoles with the longitudinal modes of Fabry− Perot (F-P) cavities. This alignment enh… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
