Efficient Methods for Solving Electromagnetic Wave Scattering From Dielectric Objects Using the Method of Moments With the Interpolation Fast Fourier Transform Method
Mohammad Ahmad
Abstract:The method of moments discretizes an integral equation and produces a matrix. The computational complexity of using direct inversion is proportional to O(N3) and O(N2) for the number of operation and memory requirements, respectively, where N is the number of unknowns in a problem. Hence, iterative methods are used when the computational complexity is proportional to O(N2). If the integral is discretized on a uniform grid, the resultant matri… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
