Abstract:This research aims to investigate the usage of a TiO2/ZnO/SiO2 (TZS) composite prepared via a 24-h hydrothermal process at 180° C to remove Pb(II) through adsorption-photocatalysis. Pb(II) exposure has known health risks, making this study significant. The research explores the impact of pH, the nanocomposite quantity, and contact time in the process. Adsorption-photocatalysis was carried out in the dark for 60 min, followed by irradiation with a 160-watt mercury lamp. The adsorption process of Pb(II) ion remo… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
