Abstract:This work presents a semi-analytical solution of the Reynolds equation under Gümbel conditions for hydrodynamic bearings in rotordynamic simulations. The algorithm is based on the SBFEM (scaled boundary finite element method) in combination with eigenvalue problem derivatives.
