Efficient synthesis of benzothiazine and acrylamide compounds

Abstract: This article describes the synthesis of the new (2Z)-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-6-nitro-4H -benzo[1,4]thiazin-3-one, (2Z)-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-4-methyl-6-nitro-4H-benzo[1,4]thiazin-3-one, (2Z)-6-amino-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-4H -benzo[1,4]thiazin-3-one, (2Z)-6-butylamino-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-4-methyl-4H-benzo[1,4]-thiazin-3-one and (2E)-N-alkyl-N-(2-hydroxy-5-nitrophenyl)-3-phenylacrylamides and the spectroscopic data. The arylidenebenzothiazine compounds were prepared using the Knoevenagel condensation… Show more

“…5 Besides this, the human organism is capable of eliminating MHg or decreasing the toxicity symptoms, since genetic factors (age, sex, hormones, hemoglobin production and metallothioneins induction) can act as protector barriers of MHg accumulation in the brain and cerebellum. 20 The direct chemical speciation of Hg 2+ and MHg in fish is possible using SS-GF AAS and appropriate chemical modifiers. The detection and quantification limits and characteristic masses are shown in Table 5, using two different chemical modifiers.…”

“…Ultrasonication enables optimization, avoids toxicity, reduces multistep reactions to a single step, and forms less byproducts. [2][3][4][5][6]9,[11][12][13][14][15] The present paper discusses the synthesis of 1,4-benzothiazine derivatives using a greener synthetic pathway, i.e. an ultrasonication method, and their characterization using NMR, IR, UV-vis and uorescence spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.…”
