Efficient synthesis of N-carboxyalkyl-substituted dithiaza- and dioxadithiazacycloalkanes by cyclocondensation of amino acids with formaldehyde and α,ω-dithiols

Abstract: A method of synthesis of N-carboxyalkyl-substituted dithiaza-and dioxadithiazacycloalkanes was developed consisting in a tricomponent [1+2+1]-cyclocondensation of amino acids with formaldehyde and aliphatic α,ω-dithiols (1,3-propane-, 1,4-butanedithiols, 3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanedithiol).
