Local governments implement various support measures for small mountain villages which have increasingly aging populations. However, it is not clear what element of the village contributes to the sustainability of the village, so that effective support measures have not been fully considered. This study focuses on elements such as organizational structure, activities in the village and motivation of residents and clarify the relationship between these elements and sustainability of village. The analysis showed that the attitude of the residents towards the outside is an important factor in raising their willingness to live and maintain the village. It was suggested that it is also important to raise the motivation to participate in the constructive activities and to maintain the basic activities of the village to increase their attitude.
