Abstract

A new method to represent the noteh toughness-temperature eurve. Examination of the scatter occurring in the determination of notch toughness-temperature curves. Description of a method of general vahdity for representing the notch toughness-temperature curve. Checking the usefulness of the proposed method by evaluating the numerous results of notch bend tests carried out on unalloyed steels of different composition and strength. Conclusions to be drawn therefrom for carrying out notch bend tests as well as for the analysis of the test results.Une nouvelle methode pour la representation de la courbe resilience-temperature. Etude des dispersions se presentant lors de la determination de courbes resilience-temperature. Description d'une methode de validite generale pour la representation de la courbe resilience-temperature. Mise a l'epreuve de la methode proposee par depouillement des nombreux resultats obtenus d' essais de flexion sur eprouvette entaillee executes sur des aciers non allies de composition et resistance differentes.
