Abstract:The chapter is a study of how long-standing residents perceive impacts of mobility and tourism in their local, rural community. Based on qualitative interviews over two periods, the author reveals how local inhabitants rely on historical traditions to explain an embodied familiarity with today’s tourism and mobility.
