Ekstrak Daun Binahong (Anredera Cordifolia (Ten).Steenis) Sebagai Kandidat Terapi Antiinflamasi pada Inflamasi Kolon

Abstract

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs in the gastrointestinal tract, remitting and relapsed with definite causes that are not yet clearly known. Binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis ) has been shown to provide anti-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of binahong leaf extract on colon inflammatory conditions in mice with 3% acetic acid-induced UC. The research method used is pure experimental research. The test animals used were 30 male mice (mus musculus), randomly divided into 6 groups which were given different treatments. Normal group (CMC-Na 1%), negative control group (3% acetic acid and 1% CMC-Na), positive group (3% acetic acid and dexamethasone 2 mg/kg BW s.c), and 0.728 mg binahong leaf extract , 1,456 mg, 2,912 mg. UCinduction was given for 5 days and continued with extra treatment variations which were observed for 7 days. The results showed that there was an improvement starting from the 4th day after giving the treatment. The conclusion of this study showed that there was an effect of binahong leaf extract on UC conditions. There was an increase in body weight, normal stool consistency, and no presence of blood (significant p<0.05) ABSTRAK Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) ialah penyakit inflamasi kronis yang terjadi didalam saluran cerna, bersifat remisi dan relaps dengan penyebab pasti yang sampai saat ini belum diketahui secara jelas. Ekstrak daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis ) terbukti mampu memberikan efek antiinflamasi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun binahong terhadap kondisi inflamasi kolon pada mencit kondisi KU yang diinduksi asam asetat 3%. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimental murni. Hewan uji yang digunakan yaitu 30 ekor mencit jantan ( mus musculus ), dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok secara acak yang diberi perlakukan berbeda. Kelompok normal (CMC-Na 1%), kelompok kontrol negatif (asam asetat 3 % dan CMC-Na 1%), kelompok positif (asam asetat 3 % dan dexametason 2 mg/kg BB s.c), dan ekstrak daun binahong dosis 0,728 mg, 1,456 mg, 2,912 mg. Induksi KU diberikan selama 5 hari dan dilanjutkan perlakuan variasi ekstrak diamati selama 7 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perbaikan dimulai dari hari ke 4 setelah pemberian perlakuan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh ekstrak daun binahong pada kondisi KU. Terjadi kenaikan berat badan, konsistensi feses normal, dan tidak ada keberadaan darah (siginfikan p<0,05)
