respect to male workers and the difficulties of reconciliation between paid work, domestic and care work. The purpose of this article, is to conduct a review and systematization of the literature studying the relationship between paid work and unpaid, from a gender perspective, putting it in context from current data on the labor market in the Argentina, and with the contribution of possible paths to face the difficulties of conciliation. The analyzed literature is structured in three thematic cores: the definition of the dimension of gender in the social sciences and its relationship to the concept of work, the conditions of employment of women, and the problem of conciliation between paid, domestic and care work. From the literature review conducted, it can be concluded that the conciliation of paid work and unpaid, represents a challenge that deeply affects women in connection with their employment and career development. In this regard, the advances in terms of regulations and legislation that promotes equality of treatment and opportunities for men and women in Argentina have not been sufficient and it is still far from such equality.
