“…Agrarian or agricultural parks emerged in Europe in 1993 with the creation of the Agricultural Park of Southern Milan in Italy (Branduini, 2020; Laviscio et al , 2016). Created to revitalize a deteriorating agrarian sector, agrarian parks seek to cope with the progressive fragmentation and transformation of agricultural areas due to inexorable urban and industrial expansion (Simón Rojo et al , 2012; Yacamán Ochoa, 2018; Moratalla, 2015). Inspired by the Milanese case, Ferraresi and Rossi (1993) define an agricultural park as:[…] a regional structure destined to primary production, to its protection and valorization, with a secondary objective of cultural and recreational enjoyment of citizens in terms of compatibility with the main activity (Yacamán Ochoa and Moratalla, 2015, p. 15).…”
