Elastic Properties

Abstract: The second-order elastic stiffness [C] and compliance tensors [S] are defined by the generalized Hooke's law: ½X ¼ ½C½e or ½e ¼ ½S½X, where [X] and [e] are, respectively, the elastic stress and strain tensors which have six components.
