Abstract:Elastic scattering between composite nuclei at high energy is studied on the basis of Glauber's multiple scattering formalism. As the mass number increases, the contribution from various multiple scatterings becomes appreciable and the terms corresponding to particular interaction processes play dominant roles at large angles in differential cross section. In the case of deuteron-deuteron scattering the comparison with experiment is done. The ratio of the real part to the imaginary one of scattering amplitude … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
