Electrical resistivity recovery of cobalt after low‐temperature electron irradiation

Abstract: After electron irradiation at 4.2 K with different doses the annealing behaviour of the electrical resistivity of Co is studied between 15 and 550 K. Two stages at 65 and 300 K show a dose-dependent temperature shift which may be attributed to the free migration of defects. As the annealing spectrum is found to be rather complex the influence of impurity atoms on the annealing of the radiation-induced defects cannot be excluded.
